Pujol - Dinner of a lifetime*

A week before my reservation at Pujol in Mexico City, Michelle Bernstein, one of my favorite celeb chefs, tweeted that she had just eaten 'the meal of a lifetime' there.

That about sums it up.

Where else will I ever be delivered a steaming gourd with smokey flavored, skewered baby corn? or...

Escamoles (Ant Eggs) in a tostada 'souflle'

Madre Mole (Mother Mole) thick and delicious on a little tostada, topped with toasted sesame seeds,

Aged banana topped with macadamia nut fluff, chocolate, and other assorted deliciousness,

or the other 8 courses that were interspersed throughout the two and a half hour meal?

Overall the experience gets an 'A'. Unfortunately, as the meal progressed drink service became a bit slow, and as the restaurant filled up, customers with deeper wallets were given more attention, but the food, THE FOOD, man was that an experience!
